Halftone 2

Juicy Bits Software makes a mobile app called, "Halftone 2." It is a comic panel layout and creation tool. It's one of my favorite apps. One of the features I like best is the, "Stamp," feature, which allows you to place and resize various graphic, BOOMS, POWS, and KABANGS-- Batman-style on top of your comic creation. What's even better is that the app allows you to save transparent png files as custom stamps. But wait! It gets even better. You can not only resize and position the stamps wherever you want them on the page, you can also adjust the depth of each layer. Then you can save your image as an anaglyph or as a regular 2D picture. 

When saved in 3D mode, the image really jumps off the page. I used individual elements as layers of custom stamps and combined them to create the finished Supa Cat Daddy image below.

As you can see, elements such a word balloons and stamps can be added from the sidebar. Formatting options are also accessible from there.

Stamp Menu

This is a view of the stamp menu. In addition to the default stamps, you can see some of the custom stamps I've added.

Radial Menu

Once on the page options such as placement, text, text style and formatting are available througha radial menu that pops up when you click a graphic element.

I've even taken screencaps of books I'm reading in Oyster and adding call-outs and annotations. It's a cool way to save reading notes to include in my journal.
